Hello, all, I've posted a short study of my rendering of Polish Legion Infantry of the Hungarian Revolt (Figures are 28mm Steve Barber Models):
More information and a few more pix are on my blog: link Best, Ed M |

The Poles do get a handsome uniform. Not to be second guessing, but for things like the crossed white lines on the top of the czapkas, the Illustrated London News can be really useful. For whatever reason, they often have soldiers in positions where the tops of their caps can be seen. Which is how my Greeks ended up with lace loops on top of their kepis. Grelber |

Thanks, Grelber. I'm always interested in whatever documentation I can find: thanks for the lead. I may wind up adding the white lines later (it wouldn't be the first time I revisited the details on a unit). Best, Ed M |

Hello Ed, sorry for the late reply. Nice work on the Poles. Hopefully you may find room for some new additions when Steve gets around in placing them to the website. A Polish drummer has been commissioned. All the best, GH |

@Minipigs, hello, it may seem from the photographs, but in the flesh they are quite active. The second officer and nco have some character going for them. Please checkout this thread: TMP link The commissioned drummer will be advancing and pointing with right hand with his head turned to the left and shouting. left hand resting on drum. Thank you. GH |
