OK, he isn't technically one of the Three Worst Ideas of Start Trek--the transporter, the holodeck and Q--but I'd already seen more of Picard than I ever wanted to by the third season of TNG. Is he actually a selling point for some people? |

He was broken by the Cardassians, He was assimilated by the Borg. The Ferenghi took his ship away. Even Roddenberry's inevitable mad child god walked all over him. The only way I'd ever put Picard in command of something was if I'd insured it for more than it was worth. |
