I played a game on some of the awesome terrain at Warhammer Cafe in Grapevine, Tx yesterday.
We did a Caravan Heist scenario from Necromunda. It was fun, they had some really cool terrain on the table and a great train to use in the scenario.
The Escher's managed to successfully defend the caravan, allowing only one loot marker to be taken, only 10% of what the Goliaths needed for victory.
The Escher gang was driven from the field by the Goliaths in the process. So it was somewhat of a Pyrrhic victory.
It was nice having an above ground objective, forcing models to climb to perilous positions and more than one model was removed after sustaining injuries from falling.
A grenade that would otherwise have exploded harmlessly caused one of the Escher to fall to her death from the top of the train.
Weapons with knockback really came into their own because of this and the Goliaths would have been far less successful without the stub cannon's knockback trait.
Overall it was a fun game and I hope to get out there again to try out War Cry and play another Necromunda game, possibly on Tuesday.
