Cruel Seas "Old Salts" was on the menu as the monthly game for July's 3rd Thursday Session at Miniature Market Retail Store in St. Louis. Luftwaffe bombers were crossing the channel engaged by RAF night fighters overhead as Royal Navy & Kriegsmarine Patrols made their way between banks of fog and a group of French fishing boats.

In the torpedo segment fog moved at 10cm per turn to the SE while the fishing boats 5cm each turn in the direction they pointed creating a changing game table for the players as they made their decisions on their own movement and fire.

The Fairmile D first saw active service in 1942. And I like the Heath-Robinson aspects of the scenario.

We had two naval games running at the shop yesterday, and when after a couple of hours I turned around to check out Fitz's scenario progress, he pretty much had all his ducks in a row!

Sounds like the game was a gas to play too. ;)
