One less drop of rain, I suppose, is still one less drop. |

Althogh they now have one less drone. Though they deny losing one, of course. One thing leaves me puzzled: … USS Boxer took defensive action after the drone came within 1,000 yards of the warship and ignored multiple calls to stand down. How do you actually ask a drone to stand down? Send out radio messages and hope the operators are monitoring the right frequencies, or what? Is there an international flag signal for "Go away, drone"? |

No doubt, they know who is controlling it, and I suspect they probably have a pretty good idea of where it is being controlled from too. Seems as if the requests to depart the area were ignored. |

I'm shocked they let it get to one thousand yards. That is the bare, bare minimum for them to defend themselves if it turned out to be hostile. Perhaps they could identify the type and knew what they were dealing with. Meanwhile, the US military is making progress with a microwave drone interference device that would simply make the thing go stupid and fall into the sea. Currently it's just an experimental truck but they could/should have one on all the ships in the area in a year or two. People are using drones irresponsibly. The result is going to be anti-drone devices. They can't get here soon enough. |
