Naw mate You got this one wrong (rare, but bound to happen). The hay bales are described as WWII on. I always think of ACW as before that, unless you go for those Harry Turtledove novels which I thought totally underrated. (Harmless nonsense, unless you read "Guns of the South", which is on my top 20 of all time). The wooden planks, in a pile……nice models of a pile of wooden planks…but I am not sure why….oh heck (GRIN, SMIRK) |

Well I sure can use them for my ACW games! Logistics one has to have if for no other reason that to set the stage for the game! |

can they be used for ACW or not Not. Mechanical balers date from the 1870's (first patent 1872, first commercial availability 1874) and were slow to catch on. |

I'm thinking to sand the bales a bit smoother and paint them as a stack of 10mm hardtack boxes. |
