Bamford's journal was published in the Maryland HIstorical Magazine over the winter 1932-33 and is available online via archive. org. A word of warning to those interested in purchasing the hardback for its AWI material. The publisher's reference to Bamford's service in the '42nd Regiment, at Boston after the battle of Bunker Hill, during the winter and early spring of 1776' etc., is several important digits astray. The 42nd were still in Britain at that time and Bamford had in fact transferred to the 40th Regiment, which isn't such a bad exchange.
