And other Scots of the era. Aside from the 1547 Battle of Pinkie description where they are all described wearing white as if they had a flour fight before the battle does anyone know what colors they wore? Did they dye their jacks, wear parti-colored hose. Were there any colors they were partial to? |

Also, Can one use the early landsknechts from The Assault Group and the Swiss pikes from Old Glory as Scottish pikemen? It seems like the assault group early landsknechts have a handy saltire etched on their chests! link link |

Afraid the Old Glory and assault group figures are too well dressed and would not do. Get a hold of the Osprey book on Flodden. There are some lovely colour illustrations in there. |

Get a hold of the Osprey book on Flodden. There are some lovely colour illustrations in there. The Osprey "Scottish Renaissance Armies" by Jonathan Cooper is pretty good as well – or the colour art is on the artist's web page at link |
