I run a lot of participation games at conventions. I usually add "no booze please" to my event descriptions. I am not a teatotaler, but I don't appreciate innebriated gamers disrupting my games and spoiling the fun of the other players. Drunk people aren't nearly as funny as they think they are. Buck |

I was responsible for C3 onward so, considering most of the humans are involved in alcoholic pursuits, I suppose the answer is ‘yes': link From the player side, I'm not keen. I've been with gamers who become quite aggressive after a glass or two so I'm with Buck 100%. |

I am not a teatotaler, but I don't appreciate innebriated gamers disrupting my games……. I wouldn't appreciate that either, but to be honest, I haven't seen that. My friends and I will have a beer or two from the beer-caddy salespeople at the HMGS conventions, but no one gets inebriated or drunkenly belligerent. But as Buck said on another thread, "Rude is the new normal". Getting drunk when playing a game during a wargaming convention is just thoughtless and inconsiderate. |
