Nicely painted but shouldn't they be wearing pants? Late Romans wore pants and the Celts before them did too. I would imagine the Bretons looked much like the rest of Gaul at the time in terms of clothing.

Domnonée is likely named for the British kingdom of Dumnonia, the old pagus of the Dumnonii tribe who had close links to Armorica. It was the Dumnonians who settled in Armorica causing the region to be named Britain after their homeland.

The Saxons eventually conquered the eastern part of Dumnonia. They kept the name and over time the name evolved into Devon, the modern English county. The western part remained British/Celtic and came under the rule of a subtribe called the Cornovii.
The kingdom was called Kernow after them. A region in Armorica was named Kernev for the same reason. The British kingdom of Kernow became the county of Cornwall and Cornouaille in Brittany is what Kernev is called in French – named for the English version of the name.

Fascinating period in history and not well represented so great to see it.

The Warhammer Ancient Battles books 'Fall of the West' and 'Age of Arthur' explore this period.

Great stuff Matt.

I think painting all that plaid might have started to drive me a little mad by now lol

You've done a great job on the fabrics!
