That is looking great. Very nice work with the Greenstuff. Do give "Peiper" a fag though! Are you adding the signpost? |

Maybe, I want to be able to use it on both western and eastern fronts, so not sure. |

Very nice. Will look good on the table commanding. A nice base would set it off too. The picture it is based on does not feature Peiper though. |

No, it is not Peiper, but it is still so iconic of the B of the B. Plus they are so "cool" looking, in a incredibly lucky photo, just like Old Glory on Iwo Jimo. (Forget the subjects of the Belgium photo and how they respected the Geneva Convention and felt about untermenschen) An instant in time with so much of the "Golden Triangle" in the poses. (Try it some time…it does work) Even at its simplest, the photo has foreground, midground and background. The other two in the series are good, really good, but not world class |

Hello Mr D. You keep saying it's a lucky shot but I am not so sure. The German cameramen were, predictably, professionals and the suite of pictures associated with this one from the Then and Now book evidences this, even when under fire. Page 129 has our jolly couple looking suitably pleased with themselves including the cigar! Best wishes, Chris |
