It looks like the heaviest type of knight is going to be available soon for AT. link I guess these will come in handy for knight armies where your whole force is made up of knights. It will be good to have some long range punching power. For mixed armies I'm not so sure I see where they fit in tactically. They aren't anywhere near as nimble as their Cerastus and Questoris brothers. They don't pack the fire power of even the least of the titans, but then they are a lot cheaper point-wise. They are a lot more survivable than other types of knights in terms of getting hit, but that doesn't translate into survivable on the battle field if they can't use cover effectively. I've seen a unit of 5 Questoris knights all but wiped out by a Warlord with Sunfury plasma annihilators in one round of shooting. I'm not sure that the artillery rule will significantly increase their effectiveness. Despite all the nay saying in this post I'm sure I'll get a couple of boxes of them when they come out, they are pretty cool looking. |

I'm waiting to see if there's a Cerastus or Atrapos before I buy any more Knights. |

I should rephrase. The Cerastus Knight Acheron with ranged weapons. |

I assume the availability of more and different knights depends totally on how the existing ones sell. I would expect more stuff… |

I think, given what seems to have been a bit of a sleeper hit with AT, that we will be seeing a lot more stuff. I also dont doubt that the apocalypse release will be used to do a lot of things with 6mm figs that AT doesnt do at present. |

Wondering if they'll be good knight killers in addition to pounding Titans. |

@Pictors – nice guess. Gaming Apocalypse in 8mm… thats a though. I certainly contribute to "more" AT by voting with my money, having the Acastus on preorder. For completeness sake: GW also has stratagems and "character" Titans for loyalists and traitors on their website, direct only though.

"seems to have been a bit of a sleeper hit with AT, that we will be seeing a lot more stuff." I certainly hope so. Given the lack of related Youtube videos and topics (AARs, etc) here at TMP in the first year I was sure AT was going to be a bomb. Glad to hear people who are playing it think otherwise. |
