Hi all . I'm looking for a battle mat in a snow theme. Has anyone used the neoprene ones over other terrain ie. to create hills etc . Was thinking to put it over a GW Realm of battle board (6x4). Will it conform to the contours etc .Cheers Martin |

Haven't used neoprene, but Cigar Box mats go well over terrain, and they do good winter mats. |

I would not recommend the neoprene over hills, the Cigar Box mats work very well over terrain especially if the terrain is painted with a little grit. |

Neoprene can be too thick to properly drape over contours. Also be wary of companies that call their mats "cloth" -- many times it's thin *vinyl* sheeting and not felt or flannel. This is too stiff to properly drape also. |

Consider Frontline Gaming mats. link I have one of their 6x4' Ocean Mats and satisfied. Good quality. God bless, John T. |

My vote goes behind Cigar Box Battle Mats, but they are not neoprene. |

Look in fabric shops for mottled green patterns and then check the reverse of the fabric. Often you will find it is off-white with green showing through faintly – which may work for anything other than deep snow (for which any white fabric with suitable weight/texture will do) Hopefully you may then have a cloth which is reversible. |
