Nice unit!

I see no piping on collars, cuffs, lapels, or turnbacks. It's those details that make French infantry such a pain, and probably the cause of all those hideous units in greatcoat I keep seeing. But it is also what makes the French infantry uniform the most striking of the period. And Mateus, we all know you can do it in your sleep.

Correction:

There is piping on the turnbacks. My apologies for the haste.

Thanks, guys!

Widowson, painting piping seriously hurt my will to live, so more often than not I leave it for another day, and hope that day never comes (!)

Mateus,
This is some great product. I agree with Widowson on the piping as it makes the figures "pop" but it is a real pain in the posterior. Why paint it if doing so makes you want to hang yourself from your ceiling fan?

piping can be done without too much problem – it would depend on the sculpts, here my modest efforts in 1/72 scale as well

Excellent work!!

LoL – I hadn't even noticed. Just goes to show. How wide was the piping in real life – should it be visible in 1/72 scale?

vW – nice. Got the rest of the regiment?
