The incredible ruins of an ancient palace in Iraqi Kurdistan have emerged from the waters of the Tigris River…

Interesting – hope that some of those murals are relatively intact.

Be nice to have more evidence of clothing styles and colors and whatever else the inhabitants thought was appropriate to put on the walls.

Fascinating, it's quite interesting what keeps getting discovered.

So this city was a contemporary of Homer's Troy. Should be interesting to see what is there.

Thanks.

And +1 for goragrad (I'm painting my Mittannian chariotry this summer).

Very nice painting, not entirely sure how historically accurate

Thanks gorograd. Yes, they are very nice.

Mine are in 1/72. They are 22. Boxes are almost finished, wheels are completed. But I have only painted 2 horses (from 44) and no charioters (from 44). It will take its time.

:)
