RPG, board games, historical, and fantasy. No sci-fi but solely because no time.

Throw some Storm Troopers into your next fantasy game and you've got it covered. And don't tell me that they will unbalance the game, they couldn't even take on the Ewoks!

I was surprised that there are so few "non-historical only" gamers.

I think the affliction that is our hobby includes an interest in history. Even if we don't have any historical armies, we read up on it for battles, reasons for the battles, etc.

I think Stryderg has hit on something there. I know very few gamers who DON'T have any interest in historical games. But I am somewhat surprised by Bill's comment about there being "so few" non-historical gamers. From reading here and what I see at the local shops historical gamers seem to be going the way of the Dodo. There are about 3-4 shops locally here in Ocala, Fl and judging from comments by the owners and some other denizens of these establishments they do Warhammer, other sci-fi, or fantasy.
