Anyone know if this type of statue would have been plain marble or painted?

Roman statues were often painted but freestanding statues tended to be of the gods and influential people and sometimes defeated enemies.

These figures are more fantasy than ancient though, particularly the nude woman with loose hair.

The one of the far right would make a reasonable goddess like Demeter and the one in the middle looks like an Emperor type with wreath.

Aside from the legionary statue, they are supposed to be a Emperor and various deities. The naked woman is a representation of Venus. If you click on the photo, you can then cycle through the individual statues and their names.

Even though they were painted usually, sadly I must admit it doesn't look right to me unless they are plain white marble!
