When the one B17 pancaked on top of the other one it looked incredibly fake.

Yep – the plane on top acted like it had no weight and the one below acted like nothing happened for waaaayyy too long.

Poor CG work there…

Say what we want….I got a real feeling of how much being in a bomber on one of those mission had to be a really awful experience…..

Thank you to everyone who served and I can never pay the debt to those who gave all….

Um, we'll have to see. Just based on that trailer, I still think I prefer "Memphis Belle."
But I'll probably go see it as my father was a top turret gunner and flight engineer on an 8th Air Force B-17 from 1944 through the end of the war.

Hmmm, according it this: link it will be an HBO mini-series by Hanks and Spielberg to accompany "Band of Brothers" and "Pacific." It has evidently been in development and production for a long time.

My understanding is that this clip was an early proof of concept reel (hence 2013), so I imagine the CG planes were not intended to be the finished item.

Though I am less sure of that now I've seen that Midway trailer.

Will this mini-series ever see the light of day?

Supposed to be later this year.
