Minden Miniatures will be adding the Prussian Guards regiment IR15 second (tricorns) and third (miters) battalions later this summer: The figures were sculpted by Richard Ansell. Click on the link to my blog for more information. link

Nice! Now that I have about 20 odd Prussian infantry units it is time to think about a Guard regiment |

Is the figure among the grenadiers, 2nd from the left, a sergeant? I understand that Musketeer and Fusilier sergeants carried a "kurz gewehr" or pike, or halberd. GdeP |

From Kronoskaf: NCOs were armed with a sabre and a light half-pike measuring 10 Rhenish feet (3.06 m.) in the musketeer companies and 13 Rhenish feet (4.10 m.) in the grenadier companies (carried by the 3 most senior NCOs while other grenadier NCOs were armed with rifled muskets since 1744). So the figure that you mentioned is not one of the senior NCOs. We have also added the senior NCO carrying the kurzgewehr, but it is not shown in this picture. |
