My apologies if posting this isn't cool here. Full Disclosure: I have nothing to do with the project other than that I'm a backer and will benefit if more stretch goals are unlocked. I joined TMP just to post this, and I hope it's welcome or at least tolerated.

It's fully funded (130K of a 28K goal so far), with lots of cool stretch goals unlocked, and more still to go.

Looks interesting.

I see "Dirtside" and I immediately think GZG, so my brain is saying, "Great, a new edition with some more of those excellent figures." Drats.

Good luck anyway!

I must say that is one of the most confusing KS listings I've ever seen.

For example, at the $60,000 USD level you get the models (files presumably) to print on your own. A non-starter for me, since I don't own a 3-D printer.

Other levels seem to show that you do actually get minis (I think, but don't take my word for it) with various funding levels, but given there are what appears to be three different games on offer (not sure if they're part of the KS or separate), their KS web-page is a bit busy, especially when you factor in stuff you can "direct buy" too.

Perhaps I shouldn't expect too much when even the KS creator says this on his KS page (all tongue in cheek, I suspect/hope): "…I am the designer and publisher of the games ….the Worst Game Ever…..".

I do recall reading about the Battlestations rules, and they did look interesting back in the day.

Rob, I had the same reaction, but ended up backing anyway. I'd totally back a "bring back the gzg minis" kickstarter.

Thresher01, yeah, it's a bit busy. I think there's only one game on offer – "Battlestations: Dirtside". I think the other two (Second Edition and Starships) are just other games in the Battlestation universe that they want us to know this one is compatible with. The story behind "The Worst Game Ever" (that was the actual title of a game he designed, not a review) is kind of interesting: link

Yea, I get that's his title, but still………

Not the most ringing endorsement from the author, but I suspect he's just being cheeky. Surely there are even worse games. Not sure I want to check to find out though, if you know what I mean.

If this new game has nothing to do with GZG's Dirtside II rules then it should not be on this board.
