I am looking at a uniquely different 15 MM HOTT army – an Amazon army. Now I know the first thought that comes to your mind is – "there's nothing new about that!!! But it is not the typical Amazon army we all normally think of with scantily dressed babes with bows and swords, but a more modern approach.

OK, if you're read this far then you might find this interesting. The Amazon army I want to do is based on book, movie and TV femme fatales, and especially those who are less politically correct and probably even a little/a lot dysfunctional. Here is my first blush approach. My idea is to have one figure per base/element, and categorized by their persona, characteristic or strength as depicted in the media.

2 x Blade – Michonne from Walking Dead, The Bride from Kill Bill
3 x Shooter – Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games, Carol from The Walking Dead, Ellen from Quick and the Dead
1 x Warband – Jessica Jones from Jessica Jones
1 x Magician – Lucy from Lucy
1 x Rider – Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
1 x Hero – Wonder Woman from Wonder Woman
1 x Flyer – Supergirl from Supergirl
1 x ??? – Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road

Stronghold – ?????

These are the ladies that come to mind and would be fun to create and paint. So, I am looking for possible figures and welcome any suggestions. I am also needing a 15 MM motorcycle, but not a big hog like a Harley Davidson. But the type that Lisbeth rides.

I am also struggling with exactly how to play Furiosa, so would appreciate thoughts there, as well as thoughts on those I have listed – i.re. do I have them as the right type of element?

Thanks and any help or comments is appreciated.

Personally I'd include Hit Girl and possibly Zoe (or River depending how you feel about psychic assassins) from Firefly since good figures are available… For your current list I'm sure you could get them in 28mm but in 15mm I'm not so sure. Ellen could probably be done easily from a suitable 15mm gun-fighter – green-stuff some longer hair. I'm guessing a descent post-apoc ranges might give quite a few useful figures (IIRC Khurasan does a bow armed teenage girl)

As for stronghold I'm tempted to say the Thunderdome, for some strange reason, but to pull it off I reckon you'd need a 15mm Tina Turner!

Modesty Blaise for Sneaker.

Island of Avalon--or Themiscrya--for stronghold.

Rebel Minis do a Michonne and a Katniss. Here's my painted ones…

Thanks guys, Much appreciated!

I have Michonne, Katniss, Carol, Ellen and with an arm conversion can do Furiso. I also have possibilities for Lisbeth, Lucy and Jessica with some minor conversion work. Since I have posted this on multiple forums to get as much feedback and help possible, one suggested a bar as the stronghold, and I really like that knowing some of the characters and their stories.

The biggest problem right now seems a good motorcycle, Supergirl and The Bride. I am also considering doing Judith from the Walking Dead if need be as I have a figure I can convert for her, and she is a favorite character for me. Guess she'd be a Shooter too.

Are you aware the Battle Valor Miniatures just had a kickstarter where he is going to be producing a Amazon line. It may be awhile til they are available, but you may want to keep an eye on Battle Valor for when they become available. They wont be moderns but still should be fun!

Steve, Than you. I'm a real fan of Mike's Rebel Mini's figures and use them for lots of things. They are the figures I am using in my The Purge army, which has been a lot of fun….and challenging to paint. You can see it here.

I have the Rebel figs for Michonne and Katniss, plus some others of his in mind.

Always appreciate the help! And, your figures are beautifully painted!

Khurasan does a not Hitgirl TTC-1409 and not Lara Croft TTC-1419. Rebel minis has a two females in their superhero line and 1 in the villains. They also have 3 female steampunk adventurers. They have 4 zed hunters packs that will do well for your Walking Dead and Katniss types. If you need more armed females, check out the post apoc survivalists.

You could put Furiosa in the War Rig (the cab at least) and use it as a War Wagon…
