What is the difference between the kings of war second edition free PDF, gamers book and hard cover book? I mostly want to know if a two player starter army with gamer book is worth it, or get one army box and use the free rules. Also do you still get the free mini rule book in boxes? Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Gamers edition and hard copy I believe are essentially the same. Page order is different and I think there's more fluff in the h/c. To save money I'd go with the gamers edition. I suspect the free PDF is missing magic items and army lists. You will want to buy clash of kings 2019 which updates spells, some units, and has things called formations. This really moves the game along on the evolution from good to better without breaking anything previously played imo. |

The hardback has more fluff and setting material than the gamer's edition. The free book doesn't have the magic items and special characters in it. |

Oh I think you'd need Forgotten Realms too for the additional armies. Easy Army Kings of War website is great list builder for free too. link |
