I painted these back in 2014, all Baccus 6mm figures. Long sold to new owner, but as I stumbled on the pictures again whilst looking back at my blog I thought I would share them in the hope they might inspire others working in the tiny scale! Lee.

Thank you for the comments, I really enjoyed painting those back then. 'Minipigs' link to my blog of the last 8 years is below. These days I collect and paint 40mm Napoleonics, but if you take a look back to 2013/14 there are loads of shots of AWI's in 6mm/10mm/15mm and even 28mm!! Here are a couple more shots of the tiny guys! Lee. Foot Guards 6mm Baccus (no colours carried).
Militia from the rear – the British view… only joking!

Nice! I had a huge collection of Baccus AWI, including a number of conversions because didn't like some of the figures: the British line are very 'dwarf-like. Mine were converted from Continentals, much nicer figures. They all now reside in sunny California! |

I think "eye candy" is a bit of an understatement. This was clearly an "epic collection" crafted by an "extremely talented hobbyist." I've always thought that the Baccus AWI range is a sort of hidden gem in the Baccus line of figures. I painted over two thousand of them and enjoyed every minute of it. As shown in the pictures the detail is amazing and your brush just flows along the paint lines. It's certainly no surprise that you still have fond memories of the collection. |
