I put up a bunch of old D&D figures on the blog the last few days. I guess the best way to share them is like this: Alternative Armies – Berserkers: link Citadel – Brettonian Knights: link Citadel – Brettonian Archers: link Grenadier AD&D – from the Fighting Men box set: link Grenadier AD&D – from the magic users box set: link Here's a teaser:
Broadly they fit under my "Fantasy" category seen in toto here: link |

I remember these Grenadier miniatures… They were the first I every played with. Your painting is superb, and it really brings these models to life, demonstrating just how great they can be. We painted them, back in the early 1980's, using enamel model paints -- YUCK! Nice to see them done properly. Thanks for this piece of nostalgia, showing what is possible with these very old miniatures, being painted "properly", using more modern techniques. Cheers! |

I love them! I too had the fighting men and magic-users figures. I like the style of painting. It really works well. Kinda comic book but I love it! |
