Definitely out of compliance now.

Probably one of my best months painting. I hadn't planned on buying anything but the 40mm Scruby's were a good deal and rare opportunity. Although the YTD number looked good waking up on June 1st a visit to NJCON put a huge dent in it.

Bought = 54 (40mm US,Chinese and Japanese.)

Painted = 60 (28mm. 4 Perry AWI Artillery, 5 GNW Russian Art., 22 Vikings, 10 OG War of 1812 Mtd Rifles,6 Swashbucklers. 40mm. 6 US Marines,1 Serbian, 6 Dutch bicycle troops)

Monthly profit = +6
Yearly profit = +125

Not bad on the painting side of things but it was the first month this year I haven't bought anything. So a positive number to cut into the negative balance for the year.

Well, I painted 16 figures, plus an altar to sacrifice people on (naked victim painted last month, evil high priest still on the painting table). All but one of the figures was a Viking.
On the other hand, my planned purchase of six figures was upped to 26 when I added a box of plastic figures to my Brigade Games order.
So, this month looks like a -10.

I need to get busy, go through unpainted figures, and sell off those I will never get painted.

A slow-ish month, as a new 24 tile underground cavern project for Chaos Wars game took my attention away from figures, as did 2 large Tom Meier giants and Ral Partha Kraken/rider figures.

As of end of May, I have only 5 figures left in my lead pile!

Alas, the Ral Partha Kickstarter 3 awards will come in June, as will a few other figures, so I'll have a lead hill again…

I did clean/base/prime a lot more in May though

Finished 2x 6mm Modern African buildings, received 277x 6mm vehicles or "stands" of infantry.

Got another order of 6mm vehicles arriving tomorrow, my painting table is going to collapse.

Slow month. Painted 24 15mm samurai. So the yearly tally is at -99, still deep in the red.

Finished another unit this month and made some headway on another. Looming unemployment next year has lead me to really bulk out my 28mm Sudan forces while the hobby budget is still robust. Considering I still have Gencon approaching, this could be a big year for the lead pile expansion.

Family chaos and drama, I only painted 8 of my own figures in between two commissions I took on to fund my figure buying…

163 plus the 8 for this month equals 171 figures of my 350 goal for the year…
