We had a good game with these battle boards found as "A Fantastic SAGA". Got out some fantasy miniatures that hadnt seen the light of day, years for mine, decades for my game buddy. Was a "Wild Men" (used my old collection of beast men) and the "Koboldoi" ( he used is old plastic goblins and metal gretchin). He pulled out a victory, those little goblins just swarmed me. Defiantly looking forward to the next game. Has anyone else tried these lists out?

Yes, had a couple of games now with the Age of Magic supplement. Great stuff – easy to use a wide range of models and to start different campaigns. I'm working out how to bring in some of the historical stuff that SAGA hasn't covered yet – Samurai, Romans etc.. as well as putting together new fantasy warbands.

The boards seem more straightforward than "historical" SAGA, but the diversity within the warband adds a lot of tactical choice.

A really great addition to a great game.

After the first round of supplemental armies and tweaks I feel SAGA went full fantasy. No longer of interest for me.

One book is full fantasy? Wow. Then you won't be interested in some of the other historical supplements coming up.

You don't have to buy the Age of Magic supplement.
Saga has always been a game inspired by history rather than a historical game. But what a great game it is.

Been having good games with the system. The magic book is kinda steep at 50 bucks but maybe if I sell some stuff. Saw a site where a guy made battle boards and lists for Aztecs and Tlaxcaltec's.

Im thinking of doing a Sparticus slave revolt list, I think someone did a Republican Rome list all ready. A looting the country estate scenario would be fun to put together.
