I had these minis for years, ever since they came out in the late 90's.
I had painted some years back & finally decided to do the ones I had left.

The red ones & the converted cloaked canoness were done around 15 years ago ( or more ) & the blue ones this month and I wanted to share them with you. Though the pics didn't come out that bad , they don't do justice to the models. Jes Goodwin is one of the best sculptors ever in my opinion.

Enjoy

Nice, they look better than my ones from that era.

Thank you all,
I'd thought I'd better do them before the planned plastics come out….. & the lead mountain got smaller by a small bit.🤔
I tried a bit of nmm ( for the first time ) on the superior's sword ( though I respect the skill some painters are able to do nmm , I personally still prefer plain metal)

Will post more pics soon.

Really nice, great choice of colours. Fabulous painting talent.

And if I may, (IMHO) bases not so good as they don't emphasise enough the Sisters upward mobility peace

Thanks for liking them.
Sea , I agree with you but I honestly got fed up with them toppling over , especially if placed on terrain. I simply used their tab , covered it with plastic plants & now stuck them with bluetack to a 40 mm card base. They would have been a nightmare if they were placed higher as they are top heavy ( pun not :) intended , they have a heavy jump pack compared to the rest of the mini )

Zrunelord, I would like to withdraw my base comment as I only now appreciate the difficulty you faced.

I cannot find an example of an alternative approach to basing these miniatures – I had it in my mind that wet cotton wool mixed with glue and shaped, then painted might have been the answer but the ‘tabs' are all the same lengths, offering little variation.

And using an approach like in the picture below turns the Sisters into something they are not!

Keep up the good work, they are wonderful miniatures and you are very talented.

thumbs up

Thanks for the comments Sea,
No worries my friend.
I had also experimented with "L" shaped strong wire peices , with the short part inserted into the mini but trying to make realistic flying minis is too much of a hassle unless they have large bases. Obviously due to leverage, the higher they are the larger the base must be.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing aerial wargames with planes stuck on foot long telescopic stands , but for me , being the clumsy person I am, it would mean continuously toppling them over😐

That wet cotton idea , to represent exhaust fumes ,sounds interesting, must try it..
