Very nice work from Mr Jim as usual.

It is pleasing to see that he has interpreted the mass of conflicting information in a similar manner.

I found Thomas Stoney's wonderful post battle paintings to be most useful although they would suggest another chimney.

Anyone interested in this battle and its research might find this link of use.

Yes it is the building in question but the modern demolished building was architecturally different from the 1815 one.

There have, according to my research been many additions and demolitions since the battle.

What I do recall was certainly looking well beyond 1815. Massive structure, but still sorry to see it go.

Third picture down. It would take a second look to realise this is not the real thing….I love the subtle greenery around the margins for example
