On a scale from 0 (no guilt) to 10 (maximum guilt), how guilty do you feel about all the stuff you've bought and never used?

0 – it's a hobby.

0 and I'll bump it a -1 since the stuff I collected over the years and don't use get put up for sale to fund my War Department.

PK Guy Brent17 May 2019 7:48 p.m. PST

0. The occasional purge session helps cleanse the guilt.

More regret than guilt. I could have bought something that I would have actually used…

Not only am I a wargamer, but a "collector" too, as are many others on this site, I suspect, too.

It's normally packed away and I don't see it.

nickinsomerset18 May 2019 4:36 a.m. PST

10 years ago I was going to get rid of my Warhammer stuff. I did not and over the last 2 years it has been back on the table a few times,

rustymusket18 May 2019 5:25 a.m. PST

no guilt. Just wish I would have been more deliberate in what I would like and what I would not.

Why just last week I started work on some GW goblins that I acquired a mere 25 years ago.

von Schwartz18 May 2019 6:08 p.m. PST

-1, again, its a hobby, not a vocation

Jeffers19 May 2019 5:25 a.m. PST

0. A mix of Coopman, Legion and Von Schwartz. I only have three regrets in the toy soldier world, non of which involve purchasing:

1. Binning my childhood 1/32 figures.
2. Giving away my Airfix ACW armies.
3. Selling my original Masterplan Manor Farm.

Otherwise, it's why I have a loft.

It varies, I am usually 0, but when I look at some of the Lead/Plastic mountain it can peak at about 7.

von Schwartz19 May 2019 6:02 p.m. PST

Like Jeffers my biggest regrets involve the selling off of about 90% of my original collection. When we moved south to sunny Florida I didn't think I would have enough room, BOY was I a dope!!! Had three chests of drawers which were loaded on the truck with only a couple items in each drawer. Could've taken about 1/2 of my figs and all of my reference books. Live and learn
