Dipping my toe into modern air combat games…

Who makes 1/300-ish aircraft models?
I'm thinking along the lines of earlier aircraft such as:
MiG-15, F-84, F9F maybe some IL-2, AD-4 perhaps even a B-29

Not looking to spend a lot. At least not at first.

I could go with 1/144 as well.

Thanks in advance for any info you may have to share.

Try MSD – They make the Luftwaffe 1946 line

They have the B-29 but they also have the B-35 and B-49 flying wings and many of the never builds (aircraft that didn't go into production or even past the concept stage)

I-94enterprises carries MSD,SCotia, GHQ and CinC. They are the Manufacturer of Raiden. Good people to deal with

Thanks!
Checking out MSD right now, looks like I can get a start at a reasonable price.

Small, simple games at first and see how it goes from there.

I would also get the Check Your 6 Jet Age Korean War scenario book. Lots of great scenarios. I94 enterprises has it.

Have ordered from I94 and one of their people has painted many of my command stands (ancients). They also have a nice selection of painted aircraft at the conventions that they attend. Sometimes I94 is out of some of the aircraft that they carry.

Another vote for I-94 and Raiden. Scotia's Collectaire range has a lot of interesting modern air miniatures. Shapeways features a number of artists that offer a variety of 1/300 3D printed planes. Don't forget Heroics and Ros.
