Always wanted to take this rules out for a spin, and just found them buried under some other stuff. As is often the case with older rules, there seems to be a lot of "unwritten assumptions", and I would like advice and tips for any rules glitches that are well known. One thing that is a bit confusing from the get-go, is the turn sequence; seems like everyone does each phase simultaneously?? Maybe people used order chips or wrote things down? Anyway, thanks in advance! |

Hi snuffy, I used these rules long ago but can't remember the turn sequence very clearly, I think it was alternate movement. One oddity was that you could take musketry hits as pushback or figures removed. Though the officer incidents were the most memorable and we devised extra options iirc. |

The officer incidents are good enough to buy for the rules and use in other games! Yes, the hits as Pushback v. Figs Removed is an interesting tension – seems like a great deal but if you take the push back you are disordered and if you take 3-4 you will rout anyway. Some interesting mechanics, don't know if I'll like them, and the rules are a bit unclear in parts. |
