Forgeworld is going to be releasing some new stuff for Adeptus Titanicus. The Warlords got some new weapon options and now it looks like Reavers will be getting some as well as some bonus weapons for knights.
It also looks like we are going to get a third type of knight for the game as well.
This was mentioned in Molech so not a surprise exactly. Still nice to see the models. Also they are putting out some scenery pieces. This looks perfect for doing Paramar.
With the release of this stuff my mind is made up about whether I should do Molech vs. Paramar. Paramar is more limited and I already have the Mortis titans to do Molech but doing another Maniple of Tiger Eyes won't be too bad and I think including the infantry and tanks will be easier with Paramar. Plus yellow titans!
The scenery pieces do look great. Looks like I have a new Forge World order to place soon.

Apparently the knight upgrades are going to be a plastic sprue for now and then they are going to phase out the current knights and replace them with a box that has all the weapons options in it. |

Like the terrain … but the new Titans are just too over the top for me … |

Ooooh, very nice. Thanks. Too bad the Titan weapons from Forgeworld have been out of stock since they became available. Great planning on that one. |

Yeah, I think the whole Adeptus Titanicus thing has really taken them by surprise in how popular it is. They have had supply problems with the data cards, the command terminals and now the FW weapons. They even re-released the Grand Master boxed set and are going to make the terminals PDF because they are having such a problem filling demand for them. |

"taken them by surprise" Hardly a new or limited occurrence for GW, a company that has been bullishly proud of the fact that it doesn't do marketing research. |

Damn that stuff looks cool. Especially the Knights. I had heard those would be expanded. Glad to see more terrain coming out. I haven't even assembled my Grand Master boxed set yet and they're dropping new stuff faster than I can keep up. When can you ever say that about FW. |

"Hardly a new or limited occurrence for GW, a company that has been bullishly proud of the fact that it doesn't do marketing research." In this case I think the initial release was actually disappointing for them and I think they made a mistake putting in two Warlords rather than two Reavers in the Grand Master boxed set. It still sold out, but they only made 1000 of them or something close to that. I think with a $200 USD price tag instead of a $300 USD price tag a lot more people would have bought in, even though at $300 USD it was still a good deal. It probably took longer than they expected to sell out. On top of that it took a while for people to actually start playing it because what came in that set was a little difficult to game without out of the box. The warlords were a beast to get together and the knights didn't do much on their own. And there weren't enough knights to really do much to the Warlords even when you did get it all together and painted. So it was a lot slower to take off than most things but once people started playing it and saw what a fun game it was, the demand really ramped up. Plus GW is having trouble keeping up with demand in general as they have been selling product hand-over-fist since 2015. |

Couldn't agree with you more about the initial release Pictors. I thought putting 2 Warlord in their "big pitch" box was a huge mistake. Reavers have always been the "Troops" of Titanicus. Glad to see they are continuing to support their own products though. |

They are really doing a good job with that. There are still new releases coming out for Necromunda and I can't even keep up with all the new stuff I want for 40K and AoS. 30K seems to be chugging along with the Angels of Death both getting releases in the last month. The new 1st Legion stuff looks really, really nice and while I've thought that some of the IX Legion stuff was a little over the top, the BA players seem to like it. I guess that is why I'm not a BA player. |

Slow uptake may have also been the result of a lot of old Epic players expecting an expansion schedule closer to the original, which was well into armored vehicles and infantry (and Eldar!) by six months in. Once this AT started getting taken at face value, it started getting played. At least GW seems to have finally grown out of the need to bury anything that isn't today's hotness. We'll see if that impression holds once Bloodbowl and Necromunda hit End of Line. |

I really don't mind them moving away from old systems, in some ways it is nice to have something complete in that you don't have to keep up with the latest rules. For Necromunda, z.B., I will use the rulebook and the gang war book and only use future supplements for army lists. Any changes in the rules they introduce will likely be ignored (except for rules for something like new weapons or terrain/environments.) |
