This lone chap in NZ has been working on this project for a couple of years, releasing short episodes as he completes them. I think they're very, VERY well done, with lots of nuance and great little details that makes the whole thing really pop. Part 1: youtu.be/g-MteECxZUY Part 2: youtu.be/mfGPMJ8A0QY Part 3: youtu.be/CMGRa4_UjE4 I donated a little to help his project; the plasma blast in part 3 ALONE was worth a fiver! |

I don't play 40k but do like the concept. That looks really good and wish GW would back him to make a full movie. |

That does look awesome. The fighting was spot on. I loved the scene where they board and see all the heat signatures and just start shooting. |

My only gripes where the bolter fire should have sounded a little heavier IMO and the armour of the marine who took the multi-laser burst, or whatever it was, should have looked at least little singed. I kind'a liked the seeming inhuman precision of the marines. Managed to do the whole space-templars schtick without descending into pastiche baroque awash with skulls and parchment. |

The multilaser did crater his armor a little; you can see them glowing a bit after he ducks into cover. The precision and economy of movement is just superb. That little scene alone has so much: The INSTANT he takes fire, he repositions himself to optimize his silhouette. Squeezes off 2 rounds in a hail of lasbolts, and the moment he sees his fire deflected, he pops smoke. No hesitation, no time needed for deliberation, just immediate understanding of the tactical situation and appropriate response. |

Very nice--several orders of magnitude better than the official "movie" from a few years ago. Rob |

I liked that a lot. The scene in part 1 where they are heading for their shuttle and the ordinary ship's crew having to squeeze to one side to let them pass really caught my fancy :) |

Looks like cutscenes for the next DOW videogame. Nothing wrong with that. One minor quibble: Why not combine all three parts into one video? The first two parts are less than a minute long. The entire film is under 4 minutes. |

Since it's just one dude, working on it in -presumably- his spare time, he figured that a serial release is preferable. Considering how long it takes him to produce just one clip, I agree. I'd rather have some awesome-but-short segments than wait for ages for the whole thing, which may or may not actually get completed. |

That was amazing. I loved how they killed the xenos. No celebration after, just did the job and onto the next thing. |

Dang, beat me to it! Job's not done, though. Gotta open that big honkin' bulkhead next… |
