A painting service in China thought it was a good idea to paint the Terminators from the Japan Exclusive Space Marine Heroes Series 2 in Dark Angels colors. Not a bad idea per se, but they did not know their 40K lore and painted them in green: auction
What a shame. It's a decent paint job otherwise. |

Could be Terminators before the deathwing book 😉 |

repaint the shoulder to make them salamanders |

It'll have to be a successor chapter I think. The Salamaders have a much brighter shade of green. |

Nice, tight, clean lines. I know they're supposed to be combat weathered, but the clean look is how I like my Space Marines. And it would have to be a different chapter. |

The magnify function doesn't do much in this case- a shame. |

I'll take 'em – my home-baked Chapter is in green |

they did not know their 40K lore I'm not a 40K player, but it seems to me that it's a big galaxy, and these miniatures in these colors could be interpreted as a mercenary unit or as a force from a client state using imperial equipment but its own heraldry and colors. |

They will be terminated if they are not in the correct colours! |

Don't worry about the colour scheme. Really just an arbitrary thing anyway. Almost as bad as moaning about the piping colour of your jaegers' facings being gosling green instead of bottle green. Whose to say those units didn't have a rebellious squad who decided to defy the brass and do things the way they wanted to…or supply sent out the wrong bucket of paint to the depot. Gee Whiz…

"Could be Terminators before the deathwing book" I believe DW TA before that was black. I never got into the DW white armor. But those are nicely painted; I'd use'em… :-) |

Agree with Zephyr1: nicely painted and I would use them. Maybe in the Traveller universe. |

They could be 'Terminators in training'… learning to use the armour before becoming full Death Wing… I prefer the DA terminators in green and would paint mine green if I painted Dark Angels. |

Don't worry about the colour scheme. Really just an arbitrary thing anyway. Very true … GW's 40K/Epic fluff is down right Orwellian. It changes far too often ! The original DA were black, then they made them green and their Termis off white. My Dark Angel Death Wing Terminators. [/URL] I plan on painting some others in a tactical dark green. I guess with GW … it's like in WWII, the German Panzers started out Gray … |

It is like that in that most of the Legions, if not all of them, started out grey. They adopted different colour schemes as they found their primarch's often or for other reasons and those schemes changed over time. |
