Proposed new board:
Cartoon Gaming — For discussion of anything related to cartoon or comics inspired miniatures gaming.
[Cross-listings under Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Toy Gaming Boards]

Games based on Super Heroes have a home; some others happen to have scattered homes in Horror or other theme. But other game-worthy cartoons fall through the cracks and have no home for discussion (Wacky Races, Frozen The Musical, etc.). Having a central home would be useful for browsing and searching topics.

Will Warhammer 40k be deposited there?

Really pulp covers cartoon gaming more than adequately.

Agree, Pulp covers it. Everything you listed in the OP are all what I think of when I here Pulp.

Pulp and Cartoon Gaming would be different in my opinion.

How can you say that Indiana Jones and Sponge Bob Square pants are the same thing?

i don't see that much difference!

I don't think pulp and cartoons belong together. I see the commonality *techinically*, but in practice people are looking to those two genres for different aesthetics.

But I also think "cartoon" may not be the right category. Bashki's Wizards, GI Joe, Star Wars, Spiderman, and anime are all cartoons and are not similar in any gaming sense.

It depends on what you mean by "cartoon".

The Toon! RPG focuses on wacky, Looney Tunes type action and absurdity. Even though there are a lot of different "toons" by that definition, there are a number of conceits in that milieu that hold it together.

If I went with Anime instead, you get a different set of conceits, with very little overlap (with the obvious exception being (almost) nobody dies and recovery is a function of plot vice severity of injury).

My main "cartoon" gaming is Scooby Doo, which is really MotW and I cross post in Pulp and Superheroes (because, really Mystery Inc. are superheroes in different clothes).

Agreeing with Andrew Walters, "cartoon" is a medium which really has very little to do with the milieu, that is the things different games would have in common that would make someone get something good out of a post.
