I recently watched this on Netflix and enjoyed it quite a bit. If you liked 300, Kingdom of Heaven, LOTR (particularly Helms Deep and the siege of Gondor) you will probably enjoy this, in fact quite a few scenes seemed pulled right from those movies. I am not an expert on that period so I can't say if the uniforms, weapons, etc. are correct but it was a fun movie, pretty much non-stop battle scenes although the centerpiece is a siege of a fortress – it has siege towers, scaling ladders, trebuchets, a unit of female crossbowmen (crossbowwomen), exploding fireballs (that part was a little ridiculous), and of course tens of thousands of cgi soldiers in enormous regiments. Two thumbs up! Here is the trailer:
