The SOTCW team regrets to say that we have decided to end Subscription 15 and to stop publishing Journals. Instead, articles and reviews will be posted on the website as we receive them. We currently have 21 reviews, and the first article went live this morning. That is a shame. Understandable though. The SOTCW has been a major force in wargaming for many years. Thanks to all those who made it happen. Appreciated. thanks again

Agreed – from a lapsed subscriber – the sort of lapsed subscriber who failed to show enough support. Sorry guys |

Here is part of the problem. I have been involved in this hobby for decades and belong to a very active group of gamers. This includes gaming WWII and Korea. Before right now I had never heard of this organization and I am willing to bet the farm that few if any in our club know what SOTCW stands for. I had to go to the website to find out. If I saw it before I probably thought it had something specifically to do with the Spanish Civil War. Which I don't do right now. |

I had originally written "Society of Twentieth Century Wargamers" in the post title, but TMP complained that it was too long, so I used the acronym. Then I forgot to expand it in the actual post. Sorry about that. |

It had to happen eventually I guess. I've been a member for many years (since the late 90s) and enjoyed the magazine very much (although I didn't like the new colour version; I thought the original style with the hand-drawn covers was a lot better). |
