In 28mm

If one wanted to do Clive in India up to Wellington in India, what would one use for a sort of Pan Indian army representing Moghuls, Marathas and whatever other princely states of the period?

Doesnt have to be deadly accurate but just give that look.

I see Indus miniatures does some nice items, light cavalries, rocketmen, and basic foot soldiers.

I saw, in a much older post, someone mention using Sassanid Heavy cavalry and lighter Eastern type cavalry from Aventine Miniatures and A&A Miniatures.

Redoubt seems to do various sepoys for the colonial armies and a nice Command elephant.

Any other recommendations?

Eureka have a the Golconda rising range. Wargames foundry of course. There are some Perry ranges that are useful – Arab and Pathans. 1st Corps has some Indians in the Seven year war range that could be useful. Some of the bad mashes form various Indian mutiny ranges can be plausible.

Redoubt will be bigger than all the other ranges.

And yes of course my Indus miniatures.

I didn't run these games so I don't know the makers' figures for natives (Foundry, Old Glory?) but maybe someone else can identify them?

@Ashokmarine

Do those Eureka Golconda figures more or less work alongside your own Indus figures?

Eureka and the wonderful Indus work great side by side ,also w/ the Foundry or Maratthas from Iron Duke.Redoubt are too big.

No-one has mentioned First Corps yet. Look under their Seven Years War range for some nice sepoy and native types. IMHO they mix well with Indus & Golconda
