After releasing three CW sets (T-55, M60 and Leo 1), PSC has announced that no further kits will be released. It has also sold its dormant Armies Army range to Scotia Grendel (official announcement forthcoming). CATMAN2 of PSC has confirmed this and posted the following in another thread: TMP link Team Yankee and 15mm Cold War has cooled in popularity which is one reason why PSC has sold the Armies Army range onto Scotia Grendel (I am sure they will make announcements soon). We also just did not have the resources here to run a metal and resin range and do Armies Army justice. This also explains why we have not extended the 15mm Cold War plastic offerings. Also a lot of kits have already been done by Battlefront. It would be a little silly to bring out a plastic Chieftain now. Sorry, Andy Tea, but BF is your last hope for plastic Centurions now. |

cooled? Seems, to me, like modern gaming is getting hot.. and they even have the Battlegroup NORTHAG ruleset, that a lot of people have been waiting for, in hand..? Very strange. |

Might be waiting a long while for NORTHAG. |

Be nice to see the Armies Army stuff available again, from someone who has an interest in them. PSC had too many fingers in too many pies, and seems to be going down the route of boardgames now. |

To say that interest in Cold War has gone off, is a curious statement. What is that based on. Since the AA stuff never seemed to be in stock , and I for one contacted PSC asking when would be available and was giving misleading information. If you do not have stock you are not going to sell stuff. |

That proves that interest in 15mm Cold War hasn't waned….. |

I was really hoping they would sort out their 1/72 WW2 figure range and expand it. Had great potential because they were pretty detailed, proportional to most soft plastics and higher end metals, and easily convertible with some options. |

OK, Scotia-Grendel for the rest of my VDV. |

Puddinhead, I know that my one order does not prove interest is not waning. What does make me question their statement, is the number of companies bringing out cold war stuff, the number of companies that have had cold war stuff for year, even the fact that PSC, sold out of stock so people were clearly buying it. Sales for PSC moderns dropped because they did not restock lines that were sold out. They also kept saying they would restock but never did. |

I believe NORTHAG isn't too far off now going off the interview with Warwick for WI . So whilst it looks like it could be over for PSCs involvement in the CW , I would say Never say Never in this case and PSC have just taken over complete control of the Battlegroup rules so they will still have some involvement. |

Following on from my post above. Just received E mail to day from PSC advising that Northag is available to Pre order now for Spring 2020! There is also a finite ordering window of 18th October 2019- 18th November 2019 . There are also many boxed sets of 10mm models to be ordered in this window for release next year. These tend to be just Soviet and British at the moment. There is some sort of incentive with free additional "Goodies" if ordered in this way. So I would advise anyone to check this out before ordering to see if this is for you or not as ( unless I have missed something) its going to be some time before you will receive anything. This sounds like to me a Kickstarter in every sense of the word but not by name. |

10mm? Interesting. I thought the preferred or default scale for Battlegroup is 1/72 or 20mm. |
Lion in the Stars | 21 Oct 2019 1:04 p.m. PST |
Default scale for BG WW2 is definitely 20mm, but I think Cold War looks better in smaller scale due to the engagement ranges. |

Not planning on acquiring a new scale, but maybe I can use the BG Northag rules with all the 15mm stuff I spent a small fortune on for TY. |

I agree with you guys.10mm does appear to be a strange choice on the face of it . But smaller scales tend to work better with modern rules. I don't think it will be too difficult to scale upto 15mm using the rules and I guess the rules will be suitable for many scales anyway. I had heard rumours for some time that PSC were thinking about 10mm but dismissed them incorrectly as they already have some very nice 15mm modern models. |

Wonder what the corresponding vehicle scale's going to be? If it's 1/144 there are already an abundance of choices, like Timecast and pre-painted plastic models from Dragon and Pegasus. TMP's "All About Scale" lists 10mm as 1/160 (the railroad N Scale). 1/200 is probably too small. Skytrex has a modern range in 1/200 I believe. |

N Scale which is 10mm will provide plenty of buildings and scenery accessories from the Model Railway side of things. Also road Vehicles. Oxford Diecast produce a growing range of vehicles in this scale. |
