Always good to be reminded that almost a third of the US Army was deployed to the Pacific. It wasn't all John Wayne and the Marines :)

Shame on you. You know that the Marines have won all American wars single-handedly -- even if they were barely there. It is heresy to say the Army was in the Pacific and did anything useful. I wouldn't be surprised if Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram aren't getting ready to ban that site has hate speech. :)

A third of the Marines would have been two divisions. I'm sure they would have conducted themselves as gallantly as they did in the Pacific. Although fighting the Germans would have been a whole new experience for them.

Not that new WW1 Bella Wood.Could have asked their Opaas.. Term given the Marines for same battle "Devil Dogs" OORAA!!
