Having just seen BoB movie for the first time. I'd love a good book to read on the subject?

Can you suggest one?

Thanks, Xin/Jeff

'A Most Dangerous Enemy' by Stephen Bungay for an overall view of the Battle.

'First Light' by Geoffrey Wellum for a pilots viewpoint.

'The Hardest Day' by Dr Alfred Price for a detailed view of one day, the 18th August.

That should get you started :)

Holland's book is great. And, though it's older, Dempster and Wood's A Narrow Margin is still a go to source.

The Battle of Britain is probably the most thoroughly documented event of history ever – everyone involved was literate, and everybody knew This Was A Big Deal, and a lot of expensive machines were involved with Logbooks and Maintainance Records…

I'd second Wood and Dempster, bot note there's a lot of good books available.

I recently read the Geoff Wellum one, First Light. Very enjoyable.
