I've been reading the newly published book about Edgecote (July is the 550th anniversary of the battle) and it got me to wondering about the Welsh forces that supported the King.

Would they have looked different and/or been armed differently than the English forces? Are there any sources you can point me to?

Thanks.

I've dealt with same problem working on Mortimers Cross where Welsh were present on each side.

The majority thought seems to be that they were no different from their English brethren.

For me, I model Welsh retinue the same as English but Welsh Levy I have taken license to model them as a mix of spear and pole arms. I don't think anyone can really tell you you're wrong either way.
