It looks great. But I've never enjoyed games where two lines of troops just slam into each other. It becomes a dice rolling exercise. |

Thanks for the comments lads, Puddinhead, I quite agree, I have never overly enjoyed those kind of games either but this was a replication on the table top of Cutt's assault on the village of Blenheim. The units portrayed are the units which assaulted and defended the village so had to be there. Plus as stated in the write up it was a good opportunity to thoroughly test the firing part of the rules. The type of warfare conducted at this time was known as linear warfare where the musket was dominant, the clue is in the name. Dave. Dave. |
