Would the Welsh foot and horse have been equipped in the same manner as the English? If not, how would they have looked? Thanks for any information. |

Agree, there is a parliamentarian news-sheet with woodcut showing Welsh troops in antiquated Tudor dress but as it goes on to give quite rude descriptions of the Welsh royalists it's likely not very trustworthy. |

Some of the main Royalist Oxford army foot were recruited in Wales, so the same as the English foot, which could vary enormously, in quality and uniformity. |

I wasn't hoping one way or the other. I was just curious since it seems that the English and Welsh really did view each other as nations apart (maybe they still do) and so I thought maybe that would translate into the way they armed themselves and fought. Thanks. |
