I'm looking for the plastic spare Carabineers heads in the Perry 28mm set to complete my regiment. Also looking for 28mm spare Carabineer figures for the second regiment. Preference for foundry or spare perry plastics but other makes welcome if they match perry/foundry in size and quality. About 20 fig needed. Destination The Netherlands, so anyone from within Europe/UK? Regards, Luc |

You can get a full box of carabineers, 14 figures including horses direct from Perry Miniatures for about £20.00 GBP Not very expensive and will give you lots of bits for your spares box. |

I was thinking you were going to convert cuirassiers, but at 28mm, I guess you don't need to. I'm having to convert using Italeri carabinieri heads and Zvezda cuirassiers for 1/72. The helmet is the only difference and you can't beat those Zvezdas. |

You suggest you want 28mm parts to make Carabiniers from plastics and, as JimDuncanUK says, you obviously go to Perrys. Indeed there is no choice, in plastic 28mm. The Carabinier heads are not as good as the cuirassiers' (far too narrow in the coronal plane) but no choice basically.
Not clear what regt you want to create. Surely you do not mean just finding someone with spare heads, to add to cuirassed figures, to try to reduce costs, to make more Carabiniers?
Add postage costs. Think of the investment you will make in time, moments in your life that you will never get back, in assembling and painting these.
As JimD says, buy a box of Perrys…….you will get masses of spare parts as well

I'm putting 2 regiments together for the waterloo campaign, 1st and 2nd Carabineers. I'm using a scale of 1:20 to represent the units. At 434 (1st Reg) and 413 (2nd Reg)Carabineers that makes 21 and 20 figs. I used 1 perry box but their are only 14 figures and head swaps in a box.I bought on the internet left and right some extra parts and figures among them some foundry FN 268 without torso. The torso's in the perry box are excellent for this. I'm just trying to make use of all the spare/extra figures I have lying around and try to avoid buying figures/boxes I will never use. Its more about creating variety, using up the pile then costs although after living in the Netherlands for 20 years I do confess to look for cheap (economical) bargains. In short, I'm looking for about 14 plastic Carabineer heads from the perry set. Regards |
