Hello!

Really excited, the WW2 subsection is my favourite part of Bad Squiddo. It grows slowly as there is so much research to get it just right.

We got set back by a move in 2018 and all sorts of stuffs, but we've got some nice regular releases for these now.

First up is the ATS Air Defense Women.

Here's a beautiful scene already painted up by customer John Howell!

The Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS; often pronounced as an acronym) was the women's branch of the British Army during the Second World War. It was formed on 9 September 1938, initially as a women's voluntary service, and existed until 1 February 1949, when it was merged into the Women's Royal Army Corps.

These are designed to work with any of the air defence equipment from searchlights to bofores, radios to the Cinetheodolite. They can also be used without the equipment, just as ATS observing the skies. Perhaps in a town situation, or out on an observation post.

We have them in standard ATS uniform (one in a leather jerkin, it's chilly!)

and in TEDDY BEAR COATS! SQUEEEEE!

We've also teamed up with Sarissa to bring you the searchlight and generator, which you can buy from us separately or in a kit with the new ATS

NEXT STUFF
The next releases we are working on include a Bofores and an telescopic identifier (with crew!). I have a bit of a personal mission to make a battery, so we're getting there!

PREVIOUS STUFF

If you are new to us, we also haaaave

LAND ARMY! AND A TRACURRR

Women's Home Defence!

and QUAIMNS

And Soviets, and Shieldmaidens, and Onna-bigeisha and and and…. lots!

American OSS officer Roger Hall stayed at a hotel near Hyde Park in 1944, and was impressed and comforted by all the anti-aircraft batteries at Hyde Park.

Until, that is, he found out that the first objective of any air raid was to knock out the Hyde Park batteries. Those ladies did not have a safe and comfy job!

SQUEEE -- guinea pig noise--the Bad Squiddo line includes guinea pigs, some of them armed!

Excellent figures – deserves to do really well : anyone who has Home Guard ("don't tell him your name Pike") in 28mm really needs these as well !
