….as First Generation Zombie Slayers

"We knew AMC was planning more spin-offs of its hit zombie series, The Walking Dead, but considering the main show is still chugging along, and the first spin-off Fear the Walking Dead is as well, we weren't sure when we'd find out more. Guess what? Today's the day!

The follow-up to Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead — co-created by franchise overlord Scott M. Gimple and longtime TWD scribe Matt Negrete — will, per AMC, "feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."…."

I'll wait for the spin-off where the zombies are the main characters and their adventures as they eat their way across the country (and, admit it, a lot of zombies are more interesting characters than the survivors are… ;-)

So… you like the movie "My boyfriend is a Zombie"…! (smile)

I caught the first demi-season of Fear, and never returned. Simply because I disliked every main character.
I haven't bothered to catch up with the latest demi-season because everyone left bored me. Keeping a pet Negan locked up in the basement was simply preposterous.
I'm done with Walking Dead. They simply don't know how to end things. It is NOT a premise with infinite possibilities.

A major strength of Game of Thrones by comparison, is the fact that it has always been working towards a resolution. The characters may not have known that, but we always did.
I won't say that the Walking Dead franchise jumped the shark. It just stumbled along becoming boring.

Same thing I felt with FTWD – hardly cared a bit for any of the characters. That's why they tried to drag Morgan over from TWD.

Still don't care about FTWD…

Where's Maggie? Who knows and who cares?
How did Darryl and Michone get those branded scars? Who knows and who cares?
We're these questions answered in the latest half season? I don't know. I couldn't be bothered to watch. Is it still running?

What? Walking Dead is still on?

Indeed. GoT gives the narrator role for the viewer in a good way. We might not know the details but we know what has to come and there by it is more intriguing.

In all fairness I think a zombiepokalypse would be very boring to live in so in that way TWD is doing okay but as a story it is dull.

Walking Dead has almost completely switched from fighting zombies to fighting other survivors , who despite the fact that the main group has been in one area for several years , these new groups of previously unknown survivors keep popping up and seem to have been there a long time as well .

this is starting to feel very much like Lost which went on for 8 years and i'm sure they didn't write the final episodes until after the network announced they were cancelled .

They can still pull a Newhart by having Rick wake up from his coma (in the 1st episode), having dreamed the whole thing… ;-)

I gave up on both shows several years ago. They got predictable and the plot was stupid.

Haven't seen that one (unless you mean "Warm Bodies", which was really good. I think you'd like it… ;-)

Maybe I mention the "spanish" tittle of the movie… (smile)…
