Silliest Gun Thing in a Movie?

In the final round of voting:

28% said "six-shooter that never needs reloading"

27% said "bullet wounds that cause only minor, temporary discomfort"

18% said "exploding roundshot"

It was Gyver or its sequel? Superhuman alien hero bends the barrel of a gun…while the gunman still holds it by the other end.

When the hero says, "cover me"! This makes him impervious to enemy gunfire.

That Angelina Jolie movie where they whip the gun around while pulling the trigger so the bullets fly in a curve.

When you consider that movies and tv shows are made by people who hate guns, or don't understand them, it's no surprise we get so many good choices.

That's before you consider the truly shocking level of basic gun safety on display – even by supposedly professional characters like military and law enforcement.

I watch a show on cinemax called strike back, what I really like about it was that the heroes always run out of bullets. My big pet peeve is when the hero goes through a building or whatever with his gun out. Then as he gets close he pulls the slide back chambering a round. So he went all the way with an unloaded gun.

A while ago I heard that in a show a guy was training somebody to use a gun. "Now rack the slide, cock the hammer and remove the safety."

On a Glock, which is cocked when you rack the slide, doesn't have a hammer, let alone one you can cock and doesn't have a safety …

When they are in the middle of a magazine and the action stops for a second so they can say something, and then they rack the slide before they continue to fire. Idiot just wasted a round!

Using a suppressor on a revolver.

Really just too many to mention.

News media is just as bad with few reporters having a clue.
