Pendraken announced it was going to release Blitzkrieg Commander IV here on TMP.

Did it get released? If so, any initial thoughts?

It did. I saw it at Salute.

….. I got my original years ago an eagerly await the update…… which I understand will eventually be posted out.. (how long should I give it before I start to worry that it's been too long and my name has been lost off the list?)

Wondering about that myself.

I've got mine on pre-order and expect it sometime later this month.

On the Pendraken website there are a list of instructions on how to get a replacement copy.

The replacement copy is only available to those who bought the really messed up 3rd edition that they published a while back.

The first batch of replacement copies went out today, roughly covering everyone who originally purchased between 1st-14th April 2017. The rest will be in the post tomorrow (Tuesday) and then we'll move on to the new pre-orders on Wed/Thurs.

If anyone isn't sure about whether they've got a copy coming, drop me an email through the Pendraken site and I can check for you.

I'm still impressed that the company went through with this project and made good on the disaster that was V3. Not many companies would have done this, so kudos to Pendraken!

We're still using BKC/1.

Is there any reason to change?

williamb09 Apr 2019 6:20 p.m. PST

BKC2 was a great update to the original rules. I never went back to BKC1 after trying the second version. BKC3 did not turn out well. I cannot say what BKC4 is like until I receive my copy, but they had the right people working on it.

Have BKC 4 , first impressions it seems fine more or less BKC 2 with extra detail and expanded Recce rules and all seems common sense and improved artillery representation and much more but I haven't read it in detail yet, only took a few moments to realise that version three had short commings so am happy with version 4. Well done Pendraken.

Here's a link to the updated version Blitzkrieg Commander Rules. Hope it helps.

As always, comments are appreciated.

Take care

Andy
