I have finally put the 1:3788 Woomera and two new ships (in both scales) that Martin teased you about up for Pre-Order. I think that they should be ready to ship by mid May at this point, but that will depend upon how quickly folks pre-order these so that I can get them rapid prototyped and tooled up. Pre-order away and thanks in advance for helping to see these into production!

Thanks to those whom have already pre-ordered, we are now half-way there! Let's keep it going!

We are now about 2/3 the way now, and I added a couple more ships!

We are now funded! Martin said he may have a couple more ships to add to this line soon, so they might just get made soon after this latest batch is done. Thanks to everyone whom has contributed to the costs to make these happen!

UPDATE: I have all but ONE of the prototypes needed to get the molds finished! This 1:3788 scaled port nacelle for the Anton and Coventry was missing from the initial print run, and supposed to be in the re-run with the other rejected part that arrived in the mail yesterday (I lost 2 weeks due to these mistakes!) I chewed out the supplier for their incompetence and lack of quality control remaking this part since they ran another Starboard nacelle instead!

Today I ran around all morning at a local prototype maker, trying three different machines and different materials in order to try to get a replacement part made that would allow me to get the molds done and production cast this weekend. Sadly, the quality was nowhere near close enough to use them. Those of you whom have ordered from me know that my casting quality standards are high, and I will not rush out garbage for the sake of timing.

So, I will have to wait until the next shipment gets here, with any luck the bozos will have printed it today to be delivered to me Monday, but I am not holding breath that those Bleeped text -ing primates will get it done that swiftly… :'(

The new Woomera Shipyards are finally in production!

Okay, mostly…

The WS L13 'Fatman' Battleship and L9 Saber Frigate 1:3788 are the only exceptions, with complications that will have them in productions later. I have shipped most of the Pre-Orders out with the exception of these ships, and as soon as they are ready will be sent out to those that ordered them.

So bring on the new orders!

Got my order last night, included one L6, one D-10, two Coventrys, one Ark Royal, four Loknars and three Larsons, all in 1:3788. All are fantastic, really detailed and beautiful minis with only the bare minimum of cleanup necessary. I already have a few FASA Locknars and Larsons, the old lead is quite flimsy and showing some wear and tear. The Woomera versions are SOLID. No concerns about flimsy nacelles. AND, they are essentially the same size as the originals and compliment them very well.

Can't praise Drew and Martin enough for these outstanding minis. Have already ordered more L6's and D-10's!!
